The Big Question... Why?

Why care, if only apathy is present? Why is time wasted, if there are a plethora of opportunities presenting themselves? Why ask questions, if there aren't any answers? Why talk if nobody seems to be listening? Why? Daily all of us ask similar questions to ourselves. Efforts to make change nearly seem futile, its like there is an opposing change to further advancement. Why does it feel this way? Humanity has come a long way since some of the first civilizations like Mesopotamia, except we aren't near where we need to be. War, Poverty and atrocities still happen worldwide. Most of the world's population understands there are problems but choose to do nothing. Why? Is it because the "Why..." question's above keep presenting themselves? Or do people choose to be ignorant about the world around them; or are they simply apathetic about young children starving worldwide, genocide destroying groups of innocent people, and rulers brainwashing people for an unjust cause. Yet many put the blame on terrible people like Joseph Kony or Kim Jong Un, but aren't we just as much to blame for not spreading the word. Why sit in comfort if one can make comfort? "Be the change you wish to see in the world," says Mahatma Gandhi, this statement should turn this "Why" into, "How can we all make a difference in this beautiful blue planet?"
